Το 007 First Light χρειάζεται επιπλέον χρόνο για να φτάσει στο επιθυμητό αποτέλεσμα, σύμφωνα με την IO Interactive.
Η IO Interactive ανακοίνωσε την αναβολή της κυκλοφορίας του 007 First Light, μεταφέροντας την ημερομηνία κυκλοφορίας από τις 27 Μαρτίου 2026 στις 27 Μαΐου 2026. Η απόφαση έρχεται περίπου τρεις μήνες πριν από το αρχικά προγραμματισμένο λανσάρισμα και αφορά έναν επιπλέον κύκλο τελικής επεξεργασίας και βελτιστοποίησης.
Σε επίσημη τοποθέτησή της μέσω των κοινωνικών δικτύων, η ομάδα ανάπτυξης ανέφερε ότι το παιχνίδι είναι ήδη πλήρως ολοκληρωμένο και μπορεί να παιχτεί από την αρχή έως το τέλος, ωστόσο ο επιπλέον χρόνος κρίνεται απαραίτητος ώστε να βελτιωθεί η συνολική ποιότητα του τελικού build. Η IO Interactive επισημαίνει ότι στόχος της είναι ένα πιο σταθερό και τεχνικά άρτιο αποτέλεσμα κατά την κυκλοφορία.
Το 007 First Light αποτελεί μία από τις μεγαλύτερες παραγωγές της IO Interactive μέχρι σήμερα και εστιάζει στα πρώτα βήματα του James Bond, παρουσιάζοντας την πορεία του πριν αποκτήσει τον κωδικό αριθμό 007. Το παιχνίδι είχε προκαλέσει έντονο ενδιαφέρον, ωστόσο οι πρώτες εντυπώσεις από παρουσίασή του σε State of Play είχαν δεχθεί κριτική για ζητήματα απόδοσης και συνολικής ποιότητας.
Με τη μετακίνηση της κυκλοφορίας στον Μάιο, το παιχνίδι τοποθετείται πλέον στην αρχή της καλοκαιρινής περιόδου, δίνοντας στην ομάδα τον απαραίτητο χρόνο για να αντιμετωπίσει τις τεχνικές αδυναμίες και να παραδώσει μια πιο ολοκληρωμένη εμπειρία.
