Μέσα από ένα σύντομο livestream, ο Geoff Keighley ανακοίνωσε τις υποψηφιότητες για τα The Game Awards 2022.
Στη δημοσιότητα δόθηκαν οι υποψηφιότητες των The Game Awards 2022. Την παράσταση κλέβουν τα God of War Ragnarök με 10 υποψηφιότητες, και Elden Ring με 7. Αξίζει να σημειωθεί πως ανάμεσα στα μεγάλα AAA θηρία που είναι υποψήφια για το βραβείο Game of the Year, βρίσκεται και το Stray [διαβάστε εδώ το review του VG24.gr], μία indie παραγωγή.
Μία νέα κατηγορία κάνει το ντεμπούτο της στα φετινά βραβεία, αυτή του Best Adaptation. Ανάμεσα στις υποψηφιότητες βρίσκονται τρεις σειρές του Netflix: Arcane, Cyberpunk: Edgerunners και The Cuphead Show. Την κατηγορία συμπληρώνουν οι ταινίες Sonic the Hedgehog 2 και Uncharted.
